Hyderabad: Minister Sridhar Babu countered KTR in the Assembly, defending the government’s outreach to the Centre for funds and accusing him of making baseless remarks.
Sridhar Babu said the government would visit Delhi as many times as needed to secure funds. He added that meeting the Prime Minister and Union Ministers remained essential for State development.
Responding to KTR’s comments during the debate on the Governor’s address, he said national parties operate from Delhi. At the same time, he questioned how often the previous regime approached the Centre during its tenure.

He criticised KTR for repeating allegations instead of offering constructive suggestions. According to the minister, the speech lacked substance and relied on scripted criticism.
Sridhar Babu said the government would continue efforts for development even if it required repeated engagement with the Centre. He added that securing funds remained a priority for welfare and growth.
Taking a swipe at the opposition, he said electoral setbacks proved the BRS had lost public support. He pointed to Assembly, Lok Sabha and local body elections as evidence.
He advised the opposition to focus on facts instead of criticism and said continuous attacks would not help regain political ground.
