Hyderabad: Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar chaired a coordination meeting to review preparations for the Hanuman Vijaya Yatra scheduled on April 2, directing officials and organisers to ensure strict security and crowd management measures.
Officials informed the meeting that around 168 processions would merge into the main Hanuman Vijaya Yatra. In response, authorities planned to deploy nearly 3,000 police personnel along with additional armed forces at sensitive and key locations across the city.
The Commissioner instructed organisers to train volunteers and maintain discipline during the procession. He also emphasised adherence to designated routes and issued specific guidance on idol heights, keeping in mind flyovers and railway bridges along the yatra path.
Police urged participants to remain alert and report any suspicious activity immediately. They also warned against spreading rumours on social media and said strict action would be taken against those sharing provocative content. Meanwhile, officials planned traffic diversions in advance to reduce inconvenience and asked citizens to cooperate with police instructions.
