Hyderabad: A South Korean delegation from the Buddhist Council met Labour, Employment and Mines Minister Dr G. Vivek Venkatswamy at the Telangana Secretariat.
During the meeting, the delegation thanked Vivek Venkatswamy for supporting the promotion of Buddhist values. They also appreciated his efforts in spreading the teachings of Lord Buddha across the state.
Moreover, the members praised his encouragement for the recently organised ‘Dhamma Yatra’ held across Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Vivek Venkatswamy lauded for supporting Dhamma Yatra
The Dhamma Yatra began in Kalburgi, Karnataka. It was later concluded at Budhavanam in Nagarjuna Sagar.
The delegation described the yatra as a significant spiritual and cultural journey. They said it helped strengthen Buddhist connections across regions.
The team was led by actor Gagan Malik. It also included YongJo Mun, President of the International Interchange Development Association (IIDA).
In addition, GyuHwa Kang, General Manager, IIDA, and Su Jeong Mun, Education President, were part of the delegation.
Keum Mi Han, CEO (Cosmetics), Mi Kyung Park, Human Rights President, and Won Seop Kim, Secretary, also attended the meeting.
