Son kills father over property dispute in Ranga Reddy

Hyderabad: A 60-year-old man was killed by his son late Tuesday night in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district following an argument over property.

The incident took place in Pallimeda village under Kandukur mandal, where the victim, identified as Jangayya, was attacked while asleep. According to police, his son Shekhar struck him on the head with a stone and fled the scene.

Villagers told police that Shekhar had frequent quarrels with his father over ownership of family property.

Kandukur police reached the spot after receiving information and began an investigation. A case has been registered, and efforts are underway to trace the absconding accused.
