Sitarama Kalyanam held at Vemulawada Rajanna temple with devotion

Hyderabad: The Sitarama Kalyanam was held with devotion at the Vemulawada Rajanna temple on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, drawing devotees in large numbers. The Sitarama Kalyanam took place amid traditional rituals and official participation.

BC Welfare and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, along with Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas, offered silk clothes and talambralu to the deities on behalf of the State government.

Temple priests received the minister and the MLA with Poorna Kumbham honours at the Sri Bhimeshwara Swamy temple. Moreover, they conducted special पूजा before proceeding to the main ceremony.

The leaders then presented silk clothes brought for the occasion. Consequently, priests performed the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita amid Vedic chants.

After the rituals, priests offered Vedic blessings and presented tirtha prasadam to the dignitaries. Meanwhile, officials reviewed arrangements for the event at the Shivaarchana venue.

Earlier, District Collector Garima Agrawal and SP Mahesh B. Gite received the minister at the temple guest house. In addition, they discussed preparations related to the celebrations.

Several public representatives and officials attended the event. Municipal Chairman Pulakam Raju, Vice Chairman Narala Shekhar, councillors, RDO Radhabai, temple EO Ramadevi, DSP Srinivasulu, and Tahsildar Jayanth Kumar were present.
