Two sisters killed in road accident near Pegadapalli after celebrating exam results

Hyderabad: A pall of grief descended on Pegadapalli village near Kothaguda mandal in Mahabubabad district following a tragic accident that claimed the lives of two sisters, Janga Mounika and Navya, on Wednesday.

The young women, who were cousins from Durgaram village and had recently received their Intermediate examination results, were heading to a friend’s birthday celebration in Pogulla Palli on a two-wheeler. Still in a celebratory mood after securing good marks, the duo met with a fatal accident near Pegadapalli when their bike collided head-on with a trolley auto.

Both Mounika and Navya sustained severe injuries and died on the spot, leaving their families and the entire village in shock. The untimely deaths of the bright students, who had just begun celebrating their academic success, cast a deep shadow of sorrow over the community.
