Hyderabad: The Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) Hyderabad organised the city’s largest Seerat Expo for school students on September 23. The event, titled “Mercy to Mankind” (محسنِ انسانیت ﷺ), marked Rabi-ul–Awwal and drew nearly 10,000 participants.
Seerat expo draws massive student turnout
SIO Hyderabad secretary Abdul Saboor said the expo featured lectures in over 200 schools. Students from more than 90 schools joined the competitions. Over 100 children presented 50 detailed models on the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The programme included a Seerat Quiz and 3D model-making contests. Winners received cash prizes worth over ₹50,000. Parents and guardians welcomed the effort. They said such events help shape the intellectual and moral growth of the young generation.
Solidarity with Palestine highlighted at event
The expo also reflected political awareness. Several student models expressed solidarity with Palestinians facing bombings in Gaza. A life-size model on the death of Hind Rajab, a Palestinian child killed in the conflict, drew strong attention.
Nearly 20 social media influencers attended the gathering. Organisers stressed that the main aim was to instill the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. They added that the expo encouraged children to live with strong values and practical action.
