Singareni invited to partner in Brazil lithium mining

Hyderabad: Companhia Brasileira de Litio invited Singareni Collieries Company Limited to partner in Brazil lithium mining during a meeting with its top management in Hyderabad.

A high-level delegation from the Brazilian firm met Singareni Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Budhaprakash Jyoti and presented details of their ongoing lithium projects. CBL Board director Daniel Leme and CEO Vinicius Alvarenga outlined the scope of Brazil lithium mining and its global importance.

They stated that lithium remained a critical mineral with rising global demand. Therefore, they said a partnership with Singareni, which has shown interest in critical minerals, would offer long-term potential. The delegation also informed Singareni that discussions were underway with other leading Indian companies for possible collaboration.

Brazil lithium mining proposal under evaluation

During the interaction, the CBL representatives highlighted the commercial viability and strategic value of lithium mining. They explained the scale of operations and investment opportunities available in their projects.

On behalf of Singareni, Director (Projects & Planning) K. Venkateswarlu and Director (Personnel & Finance) Gowtham Potru shared details of the company’s operational capabilities. Singareni officials stated that they would assess the opportunities, feasibility and profitability of the mining proposal before arriving at a final decision.
