Sevalal Maharaj Jayanti celebrations on Feb 15 at Banjara Bhavan

Hyderabad: The Telangana government will celebrate Sevalal Maharaj Jayanti on February 15 at 11 am. The event will take place at Sevalal Banjara Bhavan in Banjara Hills.

Tribal Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will attend the programme. Union Ministers, State Ministers and Members of Parliament will also participate. Tribal MLAs, MLCs and local public representatives will join the celebrations.

Organisers will conduct special prayers as per Lambadi traditions. Cultural performances will mark the occasion. Tribal artists will present traditional dances and rituals.

State allocates Rs 2 crore for Sevalal Maharaj Jayanti events

The Minister recalled the 2024 Jayanti celebrations. At that time, the Chief Minister doubled the budget from Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore. The government also granted special leave on February 15 for Banjara employees.

This year, the State has again allocated Rs 2 crore. Authorities will conduct programmes from February 15 to 21. These events will take place in all districts and Assembly constituencies.

The Minister invited tribal communities, public representatives and media personnel to attend Sevalal Maharaj Jayanti celebrations. He urged them to make the programme a success.
