Senior journalist Ameer Hussain Habib passes away at 55

Hyderabad: Senior journalist Ameer Hussain Habib passes away at the age of 55 in Hyderabad after battling a liver ailment.

Family sources confirmed that he breathed his last a short while before the news reached the media. He was the son of late Baqar Hussain Shaz, Editor of the Hyderabad-based Urdu publication Saz-e-Deccan.

Ameer Hussain Habib had been suffering from a liver-related illness for some time. Despite medical care, his condition deteriorated in recent weeks.

Funeral prayers were offered at Masjid Baghdadi after Asr prayers. Later, relatives and well-wishers laid him to rest at Ahata Syed Sahib Ka Bara.

Colleagues from the media fraternity expressed grief over the demise. They described him as a committed journalist who upheld professional values.

He is survived by two sons and four daughters. Family members and friends mourned his passing and remembered his contributions to journalism.
