Hyderabad: Air Marshal Seethepalli Shrinivas formally took charge as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Training Command of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on January 1, 2026. Seethepalli Shrinivas’s leadership is highly anticipated by the Training Command.
Veteran fighter pilot with over 4,200 flying hours
A seasoned fighter pilot with more than 4,200 flying hours, Air Marshal Shrinivas is a Category ‘A’ Qualified Flying Instructor and an alumnus of the National Defence Academy. Seethepalli Shrinivas holds three advanced academic degrees. These include a Master of Philosophy in Defence and Strategic Studies, Master of Management Studies, and Master of Science in Defence and Strategic Studies.
His earlier appointments include serving as Commandant of the Air Force Academy and as Senior Air Staff Officer at Headquarters South Western Air Command. The experience of Seethepalli Shrinivas in these roles has been instrumental in shaping future strategies.
In recognition of his distinguished service, the President of India awarded him the Vishisht Seva Medal in 2017. Additionally, he received the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2024.
