Section 163 imposed near SSC exam centres in Cyberabad

Hyderabad: Police imposed restrictions around SSC exam centres Cyberabad ahead of the SSC Public Examinations scheduled from March 14 to April 16, 2026.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dr. M. Ramesh issued the orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). The directive banned the assembly of five or more persons within a 200-metre radius of SSC exam centres Cyberabad.

Authorities said the restrictions would remain in force from 6 AM on March 14 until 6 PM on April 16, 2026. The measures aim to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the examinations.

Police also ordered the closure of photocopy and internet centres located within 100 metres of SSC exam centres Cyberabad. Officials said the step was intended to prevent malpractice and maintain examination integrity.

SSC exam centres restrictions announced

Commissioner Dr. M. Ramesh announced the order as part of broader security arrangements. According to the directive, gatherings near SSC exam centres will remain prohibited during the entire examination period.

However, the order includes several exemptions. Police personnel, military staff and home guards on official duty are not covered by the restrictions. In addition, education department flying squads conducting inspections are exempt.

Authorities also clarified that funeral processions would not fall under the ban.

Police warned that strict enforcement would continue throughout the examination schedule. Therefore, anyone violating the restrictions near SSC exam centres Cyberabad could face legal action under relevant provisions of law.

Officials said the restrictions form part of preventive steps to ensure a peaceful environment for students writing the examinations. Moreover, authorities expect the measures to help prevent disturbances and maintain order around the centres.
