HYDERABAD: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested Boppuri Anand Kumar, Executive Director (FAC) and General Manager of the Telangana Scheduled Castes Co-operative Development Corporation, for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe on Thursday.
According to ACB sources, Anand Kumar demanded ₹1,33,000 from a complainant as a favor for processing a sanctioned bill amounting to ₹33,32,350. He was caught red-handed while accepting ₹1,00,000 for clearing future bills.
Following the operation, ACB officials registered a case and took the accused into custody. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the extent of corruption and identify any additional parties involved.
