Hyderabad: The SAP Code Innovation programme was launched at Kommuri Pratap Reddy Engineering College in Ghatkesar on Friday, where Labour Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy urged students to acquire modern technological skills for a secure future.
He made the remarks while inaugurating the SAP Code Innovation programme for the 2025–26 academic year at the engineering college in Medchal district. The Minister also formally opened the SAP Code Innovation Room established on the campus.
During the event, Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy praised the management of Kommuri Pratap Reddy Engineering College for developing advanced facilities for students. He said such initiatives help prepare students for emerging technology-driven careers.
According to the Minister, students must continuously update their skills in line with changing global technologies. Therefore, he encouraged them to learn modern tools and technical knowledge that could improve career prospects.
He also stressed that discipline and dedication remained essential for success in academic and professional life. In addition, he advised students to focus on their studies with commitment and consistency.
Drawing from his own student experiences, the Minister said sincere effort and determination played a crucial role in achieving long-term goals. At the same time, he highlighted that technological progress around the world was transforming industries rapidly.
Because of these changes, he asked students not to fear technological advancements. Instead, he urged them to embrace innovation and develop the skills needed to succeed in a competitive global environment.
SAP Code Innovation programme encourages skill development
Speaking at the event, Kommuri Pratap Reddy thanked the Minister for attending the SAP Code Innovation programme. He said the initiative would strengthen students’ technological abilities and improve their future employment prospects.
Reddy also recalled Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy’s contributions to public service and community development. According to him, the Minister’s presence encouraged students to focus on innovation and skill development.
Later, the Minister distributed certificates of recognition to students from several institutions who had participated in the SAP Code Innovation programme.
Former Municipal Chairperson Pavani Jangaiah, District Congress leader Mahesh Goud, members of the college management, faculty, students and local dignitaries attended the programme.
