Sangeet Natak Academy centre works reviewed by Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy inspected the Sangeet Natak Academy centre construction in Madhapur and said the ₹23 crore project was on schedule.

He reviewed progress at the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy premises. The Union Ministry of Culture is developing the facility there. The Sangeet Natak Academy centre will function as a dedicated cultural venue. It will also serve a role similar to Ravindra Bharathi.

He said Ravindra Bharathi remained the only major cultural venue in Hyderabad. However, the city has expanded rapidly in recent years. Therefore, he said authorities need more infrastructure for performing arts and cultural events.
