HYDERABAD, February 12: The Sammakka-Saralamma Mini Jatara has commenced on Wednesday in Medaram, Mulugu district, with thousands of devotees arriving from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and other states. The Telangana government has allocated ₹5.30 crore for arrangements to facilitate the festival.
To assist devotees, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has deployed 200 special buses. Additionally, a security force of 1,000 police personnel has been stationed to ensure smooth proceedings.
Facilities such as changing rooms and water arrangements have been set up near Jampanna Vaagu, where devotees traditionally take a holy dip. Authorities anticipate a large turnout in the coming days as the festivities continue.
