Hyderabad: The Telangana government will release Rythu Bharosa funds on March 22, bringing relief to farmers who have been waiting for the new investment support scheme.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will launch the programme at Narmetta in Siddipet district. During the event, the government will release the first tranche of Rythu Bharosa funds.
Officials said the money will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of farmers. The first installment will benefit nearly 70 lakh farmers who own agricultural land in the state.
The government had promised to introduce the Rythu Bharosa scheme during the elections. The programme replaces the earlier Rythu Bandhu scheme introduced by the previous BRS government.

According to officials, preparations for the launch event at Narmetta have already been completed. Senior officials are coordinating arrangements for the programme where the Chief Minister will formally start the scheme.
Under the first phase, the government will transfer Rythu Bharosa funds to eligible farmers across Telangana.
The scheme aims to provide enhanced investment support for agriculture. Farmers are expected to use the financial assistance to meet cultivation expenses during the cropping season.
Officials said the direct transfer of Rythu Bharosa funds would help farmers access money quickly without delays.
The government believes the scheme will strengthen financial security for farmers and support agricultural activity across the state.
