Hyderabad: The Telangana government has approved a grant of Rs. 3 crore to the Gaddar Foundation. The funding aims to promote the ideals and aspirations of renowned revolutionary singer Gaddar among the public.
The allocation fulfils a commitment made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during last year’s Gaddar Jayanthi celebrations. The State’s Language and Culture department has formally issued the sanction order.
The release of funds coincides with official ceremonies marking Gaddar’s birth anniversary. It recognises his influential role in the Telangana statehood movement and contributions to the cultural landscape.
In a parallel move, the government has also directed the department to enter into a partnership with the Foundation to co‑host the anniversary events.
