CM Revanth Reddy on West Asia tensions urges safety of Telugus

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday urged Telugu people stranded in West Asian countries to remain vigilant and follow advisories issued by Indian diplomatic missions amid escalating tensions in the region.

In a statement, the Chief Minister expressed concern over the war-like atmosphere and the closure of airports in several countries. He referred particularly to Telugu people stranded in Iran, Dubai and other Gulf nations.

Revanth Reddy advised them to strictly adhere to guidance issued by respective regional diplomatic offices. He said safety of Telangana residents abroad remained the State government’s top priority.

Revanth Reddy on West Asia tensions directs coordination

Revanth Reddy directed State officials to maintain constant coordination with the Central government over the evolving emergency situation. He emphasised the need for close monitoring of developments affecting Indians in Gulf countries.

The Chief Minister requested the Union government to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of Indians stranded abroad. He called for proactive steps in view of airport closures and travel disruptions.

Revanth Reddy on West Asia tensions seeks evacuation steps

He appealed to Union External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar to continuously assess the ground situation through diplomatic channels. Furthermore, he urged the Centre to take timely decisions to protect Indian nationals.

Revanth Reddy sought immediate steps to facilitate evacuation of stranded Indians to India at the earliest. He reiterated that the State government would extend all possible support to affected families in Telangana.
