CM Revanth Reddy welcomes High Court verdict on Group 1 appointments

Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed the High Court verdict on Group 1 appointments, calling it a decisive victory in the government’s legal fight to protect recruitment in Telangana.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister said several attempts were made to stall government job appointments through conspiracies and legal hurdles. However, he said the government countered those efforts through sustained legal action. The verdict, he said, validated the government’s stand on fair recruitment.

He congratulated 563 candidates who cleared the Group 1 process following the court’s ruling. According to him, they would become Group 1 officers for the first time since the formation of Telangana.

Group 1 appointments gain final clearance after court ruling

Calling the development historic, Revanth Reddy said the verdict marked a major moment for the state administration. The decision, he noted, removed long-standing uncertainty surrounding the Group 1 recruitment process.

He urged the newly selected officers to dedicate themselves to rebuilding the state. With that, he called on them to serve with commitment and integrity in public administration. He also said the government remained firm on completing pending recruitments despite repeated legal challenges.

The Group 1 appointments had remained stalled due to court cases and objections raised during the selection process. With the verdict now in place, the government cleared the way for issuing appointment orders to the selected candidates.
