Revanth Reddy said many minority youth were gaining education and employment opportunities due to the 4 percent reservation policy introduced earlier by the Congress government.

He also noted that the state government was supporting minority students through integrated hostels and other welfare measures.

Referring to global tensions, the Chief Minister cautioned that attempts could be made to create divisions within society in India. He urged citizens not to fall into such traps and instead focus on development.

Revanth Reddy said the government remained committed to supporting minorities and cited several steps taken by the administration.

These included inducting minority leader Mohammed Azharuddin into the Cabinet and appointing Mohammed Ali Shabbir as a government adviser. He noted that Shabbir Ali had played a key role in implementing the 4 percent reservation for minorities.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that eight leaders from minority communities had been appointed as chairpersons of various corporations.

He added that the government had honoured sportspersons from the community, including cricketer Mohammed Siraj and boxer Nikhat Zareen.

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, ministers, MLAs and several community leaders attended the Iftar event along with religious scholars from various institutions.
