CM Revanth Reddy fulfils promise with new house for Kamareddy family

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy fulfilled a promise made to a poor family in Chinna Mallareddy village of Kamareddy mandal by ensuring the construction of a new house after their home collapsed during heavy rains last year.

The beneficiary family will enter the newly built house on March 7. Government Adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir will attend the housewarming ceremony and formally hand over the house to the family.

The development marked a case where the Revanth Reddy promise fulfilled commitment followed an assurance given before the Assembly elections.

Before the elections, on March 18, 2023, Revanth Reddy, then Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president, visited Chinna Mallareddy village during his padayatra. During the visit, residents whose houses had collapsed due to heavy rains described their hardships.

Moved by their situation, he assured them that if the Congress came to power he would take responsibility for constructing a house for them.

After assuming office as Chief Minister, he recalled the assurance given to the affected family. Soon after, steps were initiated to ensure the Revanth Reddy promise fulfilled commitment became a reality.

CM Revanth Reddy promise fulfilled through Indiramma housing support

Following the Chief Minister’s directions, government adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir took special initiative to secure an Indiramma house for the affected family.

He monitored the process and ensured the construction work progressed quickly. As a result, the house was completed within a short period.

With the construction now finished, the beneficiary family prepared to move into the new house on March 7. The event will mark the fulfilment of their long-awaited dream of owning a home.

Local residents said the development showed how the Revanth Reddy promise fulfilled assurance had translated into action after the Congress government assumed power.

The new house replaced the structure that had collapsed during heavy rains last year, which had left the family without proper shelter.

Officials said the initiative reflected the government’s focus on providing housing support to poor families through welfare schemes.

They added that the Revanth Reddy promise fulfilled decision demonstrated the administration’s effort to honour commitments made to people during public outreach programmes.
