HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will depart for Gujarat on Tuesday to take part in a crucial two-day All India Congress Committee (AICC) meeting in Ahmedabad, scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to party sources, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and D. Sridhar Babu, along with several senior leaders including the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president, have already reached Ahmedabad on Monday evening. In total, 44 Congress leaders from Telangana have been invited to participate in the session.
The AICC meeting will primarily focus on strengthening the Congress party’s organisational structure at the grassroots level and devising effective strategies to counter what the party has described as the “anti-people policies” of the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre.
Telangana’s Social Justice Agenda to Be Highlighted
Sources indicated that CM Revanth Reddy is expected to showcase several landmark initiatives taken by the Telangana government, including the recently conducted caste-based survey, the Backward Classes (BC) Reservation Bill, and the SC sub-categorisation bill, both of which were passed in the Assembly and Legislative Council.
The Telangana leadership is anticipated to use the national platform to highlight the state’s progressive legislation as a model for inclusive governance and social justice, in line with Congress’s broader national agenda.
