Ravindra Bharati online booking portal launched in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Friday introduced the Ravindra Bharati online booking system, allowing cultural organisers to reserve the auditorium’s facilities without visiting the venue in person.

State Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao formally launched the new portal and said the initiative was designed to improve transparency and simplify access to slots. Organisers could now view real-time availability before submitting a request. If a date was open, the system generated an instant payment request and confirmed the reservation upon completion of payment.

If a slot was unavailable, however, the request was automatically moved to a waiting list. Officials said such applications would be processed on priority in the event of cancellations. The Ravindra Bharati online booking facility was introduced to reduce manual intervention and ensure clear scheduling.

Digital access expanded through Ravindra Bharati online booking

The portal covered the 1,036-seat main hall, the 120-seat mini hall and the 100-seat Paidi Jairaj Preview Theatre. The preview theatre remained reserved exclusively for short film screenings.

Organisers could book three daily slots morning, afternoon and evening up to 90 days in advance. Therefore, advance planning for cultural programmes was expected to become more structured. The website also displayed daily programme schedules for the benefit of visitors and art enthusiasts.

Director of the Department of Language and Culture Enugu Narasimha Reddy and Administrative Officer Govinda Rao were present at the launch event.
