HYDERABAD: The historic Mecca Masjid and the iconic Charminar area in Hyderabad were engulfed in an atmosphere of deep devotion and spiritual fervor as thousands of Muslim devotees gathered for the last Friday prayers of Ramadan 2025. The air resonated with prayers and supplications as worshippers marked the significant occasion of Jumu’atul-Wida, seeking divine blessings.
Worshippers filled Mecca Masjid and its surrounding areas, offering heartfelt prayers. Prominent leader and Member of Parliament, Asaduddin Owaisi, was among those who attended the special congregation at the mosque. All prayers concluded peacefully, with no untoward incidents reported.
In anticipation of the massive gathering, Hyderabad police implemented stringent security measures around Mecca Masjid and Charminar. Special arrangements were made in the sensitive area between Bhagyalakshmi Temple and Mecca Masjid to ensure a smooth and secure environment.
Traffic restrictions were enforced in Charminar, Madina, and Shalibanda areas until the evening to manage the influx of devotees and maintain public order. Authorities expressed satisfaction over the peaceful completion of the prayers, marking another significant Ramadan event in Hyderabad with discipline and harmony.
