PV Expressway accident disrupts traffic in Rajendranagar

Hyderabad: A PV Expressway accident occurred in Rajendranagar after two cars collided near pillar number 253, leaving several people injured on Wednesday.

Police said the crash took place on the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway at Rajendranagar. As a result, multiple occupants of the vehicles suffered injuries. Soon after receiving information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Meanwhile, the PV Expressway accident triggered severe traffic congestion on the stretch. Traffic came to a standstill from Upperpally to Aramghar crossroads. Due to slow vehicle movement, congestion extended for nearly six kilometres.

Police officials began clearing the vehicles and regulating traffic to ease the jam. Efforts were ongoing to restore normal traffic flow on the expressway.

According to officials, the collision caused a chain reaction that blocked lanes on the elevated corridor. Consequently, commuters faced long delays during peak movement hours. Police continued to divert vehicles and clear the accident site.
