Hyderabad: A pregnant woman was injured and her mother sustained serious injuries after their cab hit a road divider on the main approach road to Shamshabad airport on Tuesday morning.
The Uber cab was en route to the airport when it crashed into the divider. According to eyewitnesses, the impact left the five-month pregnant woman and her mother with severe injuries.
Local motorists immediately alerted police and emergency responders. However, victims alleged that neither police nor an ambulance reached the scene for over an hour after the incident. Eventually, private individuals arranged for a local ambulance to transport the injured to a private hospital in Shamshabad.
Due to the critical condition of both women, doctors later shifted them to a hospital in Hyderabad for advanced care. Police reached the location after the delay, gathered preliminary details, and registered a case.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Authorities are examining whether driver negligence or road conditions contributed to the crash.
