Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy work guidance to district collectors

Hyderabad: Revenue, Housing and Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Tuesday directed newly appointed district collectors to align their administration with the state government’s vision and priorities under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

He said collectors must take decisions from a humane perspective so that government initiatives benefit the people effectively. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stressed that district administration should reflect the government’s ideas and aspirations in both welfare and development.

Recently appointed district collectors from Jogulamba Gadwala, Karimnagar, Rajanna Siricilla, Vikarabad, Medak, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Hanumakonda paid a courtesy visit to the Minister at the Secretariat.

During the meeting, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy work guidance focused on implementing welfare schemes efficiently. He noted that over the past two years, the people’s government had launched several welfare schemes and development programmes aimed at supporting the underprivileged.

He said it was the responsibility of collectors to ensure that these initiatives reached every eligible beneficiary. According to him, effective coordination at the district level would determine the success of government policies.

The Minister reiterated that collectors carried significant responsibility in balancing welfare delivery with development goals. He said work guidance required officers to harmonise government priorities with local needs.

Furthermore, he urged the collectors to address citizens’ concerns while implementing programmes in line with government objectives. He described the role of a district collector as a pivotal opportunity in the career of an IAS officer.

He advised officers to maintain close contact with the public and remain accessible. Decisions, he said, must be taken with a humanistic approach to maximise benefits for people.

Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy work guidance also emphasised accountability and responsiveness. He said district administrations should function in a manner that strengthened public trust in governance.
