Ponguleti vows flawless arrangements at Medaram Jatara

Hyderabad: Telangana Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has confirmed that permanent infrastructure is being developed on a large scale for the Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara, which begins in January. He assured that these arrangements will guarantee a safe and seamless experience for devotees.

On Friday, Ponguleti conducted a site visit to S.S. Tadvai mandal in Mulugu district, accompanied by Panchayat Raj Minister Seethakka and Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary KS Srinivasa Raju. The team inspected ongoing works at the Sammakka Saralamma temple. They reviewed stone pillar installations, temple flooring, and heritage structures, including the rock formations of Pagidda Raju and Govinda Raju.

Additionally, the ministers assessed progress on the enhancement of Jampanna Vagu. Ponguleti instructed officials and contractors to accelerate the work. He emphasised strict adherence to timelines and quality standards throughout the project.

Medaram Jatara arrangements to last 100 years

Ponguleti explained that all development activities align with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s vision. The objective, he said, is to create durable infrastructure that serves pilgrims for the next hundred years. He also urged project teams to complete the tasks without any delays.

According to the Minister, over one crore tribal and non-tribal devotees are expected to attend the Jatara. To manage the influx, the government is building extensive support facilities across a 50-kilometre radius. He added that the entire temple town of Medaram is undergoing aesthetic transformation to ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors.
