PJR Flyover to be inaugurated by CM Revanth Reddy on June 28

Hyderabad: The Kondapur-Gachibowli flyover, constructed to ease traffic congestion in west Hyderabad, will be officially inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on June 28. The state government has named the structure the “PJR Flyover” in honour of former minister and senior Congress leader P. Janardhan Reddy.

The flyover is expected to benefit a significant number of commuters, particularly IT employees and commercial traffic using the corridor between Kondapur and Gachibowli. Officials said the project is aimed at improving travel speed and reducing bottlenecks along key stretches in the tech corridor.

The inauguration is scheduled for the evening, with large gatherings anticipated from among PJR’s supporters and Congress party workers. The naming is seen as both a tribute to the late leader and a signal of political assertion by the current administration in a key urban constituency.

GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan has instructed zonal and circle officials to ensure all pending works—including painting and beautification—are wrapped up ahead of the upcoming inauguration.

GHMC reaffirmed its commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure that directly benefits Hyderabad’s residents.
