Hyderabad: The appointment of P. Gouthami as P Gouthami TGTDC MD took effect on Wednesday, as she assumed full additional charge of Telangana Tourism Development Corporation Ltd.
She took charge following the leave of outgoing Managing Director Valluru Kranthi, who will remain away from April 1 to July 31, 2026.
Currently serving in the Musi River Development Corporation Limited and Quli Qutb Shah Urban Development Authority, Gouthami assumed responsibilities on April 1. Soon after, she held a comprehensive review meeting with department heads.
P Gouthami TGTDC MD reviews tourism infrastructure
During the meeting, P Gouthami TGTDC MD stressed the need to strengthen tourism infrastructure across the state. She also called for improving visitor experience at key destinations.
In addition, she directed officials to fast-track ongoing tourism projects. She said timely execution would help position Telangana as a leading tourist destination.
She emphasised coordinated efforts among departments. Moreover, she highlighted the role of innovation and efficient service delivery in achieving the corporation’s goals.
Officials said P Gouthami TGTDC MD prioritised faster implementation of pending works. She reviewed project status and asked officers to address delays.
At the same time, she urged teams to adopt new approaches to enhance tourism services. As a result, the department aims to improve overall tourist satisfaction.
Meanwhile, Valluru Kranthi is expected to resume duties after completing her leave period. Until then, Gouthami will oversee operations and ongoing initiatives at TGTDC.
