One-way traffic trial at KBR Park under H-CITI project

Hyderabad: V. C. Sajjanar oversaw a KBR Park traffic trial on Sunday as part of the H-CITI project, with officials conducting a one-way traffic experiment around key junctions.

The trial was held in connection with the ongoing construction of a steel flyover and underpass under the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure initiative. The works are being carried out in areas under the Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills traffic police limits.

The KBR Park traffic trial covered major stretches from the park’s main gate to Basavatarakam Hospital, Agrasen Junction, Film Nagar, and Road No. 45 up to Jubilee Hills Check Post. The Commissioner inspected the route along with D. Joel Davis and other senior officers to assess traffic flow.

Officials clarified that the one-way system was implemented only on Sunday. They said normal traffic movement would resume from Monday across the affected routes.

KBR Park traffic trial feedback to shape plans

Police said observations from the KBR Park traffic trial would be analysed and shared with civic authorities for further action. The findings will help refine traffic management plans around the busy corridor.

Based on feedback, officials plan to conduct another trial in the future. They said prior information would be given to the public before the next phase.

The police acknowledged the inconvenience caused to commuters during the exercise. However, they said such trials were necessary to improve infrastructure and ensure safer traffic movement in the long term.
