HYDERABAD: At least 51 people lost their lives, and around 118 others were injured after a fire broke out at a nightclub in North Macedonia late Saturday night. According to media reports, the incident occurred in the city of Kočani during a hip-hop music concert.
Kočani, located approximately 100 kilometers from the capital, Skopje, has a population of about 30,000. The fire started in a nightclub where the famous hip-hop duo ADN was performing. The venue was packed with around 1,500 attendees at the time of the concert.
It is believed that someone set off fireworks inside the club during the event, which led to the fire. As the flames spread, panic ensued, and people rushed towards the exits, resulting in a stampede. Several individuals were trampled in the chaos.
