Development focus under Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika
Government adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir asked officials not to compromise on development works during the 99-day programme.
He directed authorities to complete pending drinking water projects, road works and infrastructure projects across the undivided district on a war footing.
Shabbir said the government remained committed to the development of backward sections. Therefore, welfare schemes meant for them must be implemented transparently under the Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika initiative.
He also emphasised the need to create employment opportunities for local youth. According to him, officials should prepare plans to utilise the district’s resources to establish new industries.
During the meeting, district collectors presented detailed action plans for implementing the programme in their respective districts.
