Nitin Nabin says Congress failed Telangana’s weaker sections

Hyderabad: BJP National President Nitin Nabin has alleged that the Congress government in Telangana failed to uphold justice for weaker sections. He accused it of slashing funds allocated for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes welfare schemes.

Addressing the Vijay Sankalp Sammelan at MVS Degree College grounds in Mahbubnagar on Wednesday, Nabin said Congress had not fulfilled its core election promises. He claimed farmers, women, youth, and agricultural labourers were all let down. He described the unkept promise of ₹2,500 monthly assistance to women as a “betrayal.”

Nabin slams Congress over temple attacks, RR tax

The BJP chief further alleged that “commission raj and goonda raj” continue under the Congress regime. He accused the government of collecting illegal “RR tax” while ignoring attacks on Hindu temples. He said Congress leaders had failed to act against those responsible and warned that BJP would not tolerate such actions in Telangana.

Nabin also criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for making remarks that he claimed hurt the sentiments of people who follow Sanatana Dharma.

He highlighted the Centre’s support for Telangana under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to Nabin, the state received three high-speed corridors, a Turmeric Board, a Textile Park, and an industrial corridor. This was his first visit to Telangana after taking charge as BJP National President. During the trip, he also reviewed the party’s preparations for the upcoming municipal polls.
