National Lok Adalat in Telangana rescheduled to March 28

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA) has rescheduled the National Lok Adalat that was earlier planned for March 14.

Officials said courts across Telangana will now conduct the event on March 28.

TSLSA took the decision following directions from its Executive Chairman.

Lok Adalat to settle pending disputes

Authorities urged litigants to resolve their disputes during the upcoming National Lok Adalat.

Eligible matters include compoundable criminal cases, cheque bounce disputes and money-related cases. Courts will also take up matrimonial disputes, except divorce cases, and partition suits. Litigants can bring pre-litigation matters for settlement during the session.

Officials said parties will receive a refund of court fees if they settle cases through Lok Adalat. They also clarified that the award issued during the proceedings will be final.

TSLSA advised litigants to approach their nearest District Legal Services Authority office. They should register their cases there for listing on the rescheduled date.
