Hyderabad: The dispute between Minister Konda Surekha and actor Akkineni Nagarjuna ended today after Nagarjuna withdrew the criminal case he filed against her. He informed the Nampally court during the hearing, which he attended virtually, that he wished to close the matter.
Nagarjuna withdraws defamation petition after apology
Nagarjuna filed the case after Surekha’s earlier comments on the divorce of actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha triggered controversy. Surekha apologised on X at midnight on Tuesday. She said she never intended to insult Nagarjuna or his family. Moreover, she stated that she made those comments without any personal motive. She also withdrew her earlier remarks in the same post.

During today’s hearing, Nagarjuna told the court that he wanted to withdraw his petition. The court accepted his request and closed the case. As a result, the dispute between the minister and the actor’s family ended.
