Mynampally accuses Congress insiders, demands action over phone tapping

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader Mynampally Hanumanth Rao has alleged that covert operatives within his own party are actively working against Congress’s interests. Addressing the media, Hanumanth Rao claimed that certain individuals embedded in the party have been bought off and are deliberately sabotaging internal affairs.

He warned that once such individuals are exposed, he would take them on publicly. Without naming anyone, he accused some leaders of selling out for money and said they were harming the party from within. “Whether I remain in politics or not, I will not spare those who are bought,” he said.

Hanumanth Rao also levelled grave allegations of phone tapping, alleging that his private calls—including those with his wife and other family members—were unlawfully intercepted. He claimed the surveillance intruded into intimate conversations between husband and wife, calling it a serious breach of privacy. Rao demanded strict action against those behind it, saying such practices had devastated families.
