Hyderabad: A delegation from Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Telangana, along with other religious leaders, met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. They discussed several issues concerning the Muslim community and their support for Congress in the Jubilee Hills bypoll.
Muslim leaders meet Revanth Reddy to raise issues
Revanth Reddy said the meeting was linked to the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election. Leaders from different Muslim groups met him and shared the problems faced by the community.
Congress assures action, gains support for bypoll
Revanth Reddy assured that the Congress Party remained committed to protecting minority rights and ensuring their development. Muslim organisations later declared their support for the Congress candidate in the Jubilee Hills bypoll.
The Chief Minister thanked them for their confidence in the party. He said their backing gave Congress strong encouragement ahead of the election.
