MLC Kavitha urges heightened flood alert as IMD warns 10 Telangana districts

Hyderabad: MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Wednesday called for heightened government readiness as heavy rainfall and flash flood alerts continued across Telangana. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued flash flood warnings for ten districts.

She urged residents of Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Nirmal, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Medak, Sangareddy, and Vikarabad to stay alert and follow safety instructions during the ongoing rain spell.

Kavitha also appealed to Telangana Jagruthi leaders and volunteers to take part in rescue and relief work in flood-hit areas. She emphasized the importance of standing with the affected public during this critical time.

Meanwhile, leaders from various political parties have begun visiting affected regions to oversee conditions and support response efforts. Calls are growing across party lines for local cadres to join hands in delivering timely aid.
