Hyderabad: Minister Vakiti Srihari launched construction of 33/11 KV power substations in Wadwat village of Maganoor mandal and Pulimamidi village of Utkoor mandal in Makthal constituency.

Speaking at the event, he said he entered politics after facing humiliation and decided to work for the region’s self-respect. He added that he aims to place Makthal on a strong development path.

Development push in Makthal

Vakiti Srihari said he works for SC, ST, BC and minority welfare while focusing on Makthal growth. He alleged that opponents spread false propaganda during municipal elections. However, voters delivered a clear mandate in his favour.

He stated that 14 MLAs brought only ₹296 crore to the constituency in 72 years. In contrast, he secured ₹1,035 crore within two years. He welcomed constructive criticism but asked people not to insult those working for development.

The Minister stressed that education offers a lasting solution to backwardness. He said earlier generations lacked opportunities. Therefore, the present generation must strive for progress.

He noted that neighbouring constituencies moved ahead because they demanded their rights. Hence, he urged people to actively seek funds and projects for Makthal.

Referring to the substations, he said the projects should have finished earlier. Still, he vowed to push forward despite obstacles. He declared that he will not fear threats and will continue working for irrigation, education and economic growth.

Vakiti Srihari assured that he will prioritise Pulimamidi village development. He also promised to support youth and create better opportunities in Makthal.
