HYDERABAD, February 10: Minister Sridhar Babu has strongly condemned the recent attack on C.S. Rangarajan, the Chief Priest of Chilkur Balaji Temple in Moinabad Mandal, Ranga Reddy district. Addressing the media on Monday, the minister expressed his dismay over the incident and issued a stern warning to those misusing the concept of ‘Rama Rajya’ to justify violent acts.
Sridhar Babu emphasized that the government will deal firmly with individuals who engage in rowdyism under the guise of establishing ‘Rama Rajya.’ He labeled the attack on Rangarajan as a heinous act and stated that such behavior, which tarnishes the name of Lord Rama and offends devotees’ sentiments, is inexcusable.
The minister further highlighted the misuse of religious sentiments by certain individuals to incite violence and unrest. He called upon the police, public, and political parties to remain vigilant against such malicious activities. Sridhar Babu assured that the government would take stringent measures against those who perpetrate such inhumane attacks, especially against priests who selflessly serve society by upholding dharma.
In connection with the assault on Rangarajan, the Moinabad police have arrested one individual as of Sunday. While allegations suggest that around 20 people were involved in the attack, authorities are actively searching for the remaining suspects.
