Mehrunisha Begum IndiaSkills gold brings pride to Telangana

Hyderabad: Mehrunisha Begum secured Mehrunisha Begum IndiaSkills gold in the Logistics and Freight Forwarding category at the IndiaSkills Competition 2026, bringing recognition to Telangana’s skill development efforts.

The competition was organised by the National Skill Development Corporation under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. Her victory followed a rigorous selection process that included district, state and regional rounds before the national stage.

Mehrunisha Begum is currently employed at Cargoman Logistics and studied at Begumpet Degree College. Her achievement marked a significant milestone in the Logistics and Freight Forwarding category at the national competition.

State leadership congratulated her on the Mehrunisha Begum IndiaSkills gold achievement. They said it reflected Telangana’s continued focus on skill development, youth empowerment and industry-aligned training.

Officials said Telangana had been strengthening its logistics and supply chain ecosystem through infrastructure development and progressive policies. They added that the state was expanding logistics parks and warehousing facilities while improving connectivity for seamless supply chain operations.

They also said such initiatives supported manufacturing growth and industrial expansion across the state. As a result, Telangana aimed to build a competitive and efficient logistics network.

The IndiaSkills Competition serves as a national platform to promote practical learning and industry-relevant skills. It is open to youth below 22 years of age and provides a pathway to the WorldSkills Competition, where top performers represent India globally.

Officials said the Mehrunisha Begum IndiaSkills gold achievement would inspire aspiring youth. They added that it reinforced Telangana’s vision of building a skilled and future-ready workforce.
