Hyderabad: In a candid review of the Telangana Congress’s state of affairs, AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan met with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Friday, flagging internal divisions and the party’s digital disconnect as key challenges demanding immediate attention.
During her visit to the Chief Minister’s residence, Natarajan shared the findings from her whirlwind tour of party constituencies over the past ten days. Her feedback painted a picture of a party grappling with internal conflicts and lacking a cohesive digital strategy.
“Many leaders from different districts expressed grievances about infighting and power struggles that are sapping the party’s energy,” a source familiar with the meeting revealed. “There’s also a serious gap in how our leaders engage on social media.”
According to insiders, Natarajan pointed out that a large section of Congress leaders still lack basic digital literacy, making it hard for them to promote government initiatives or connect effectively with the public. This communication void, she warned, risks eroding the party’s visibility and relevance.
She urged Revanth Reddy to take swift action, highlighting that even senior leaders are struggling to find their footing amidst a flood of new entrants into the party. Mutual criticism among members has reportedly become a worrying norm, threatening to derail party unity just as the Congress tries to consolidate its base.
Sources said Natarajan pressed the Chief Minister to find practical solutions to these challenges, stressing that they cannot afford to let internal rifts fester with elections looming on the horizon.
