Medak targets top rank in Praja Palana implementation, says Vivek Venkatswamy

Hyderabad: Telangana Labour, Employment and Mines Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy directed officials to ensure that Medak secures the first position in the State in Praja Palana implementation under the government’s 99-day Action Plan.

He issued the direction during a review meeting held at the Integrated Collectorate in Medak on Friday. The Minister asked officials to take all necessary steps to ensure effective Praja Palana implementation across the undivided Medak district.

The review covered Medak, Sangareddy and Siddipet districts. Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao, Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar and Medak MLA Mynampally Rohith attended the meeting. Collectors of the three districts, departmental officials and public representatives were also present.

The Minister said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy designed the 99-day Action Plan to make the administration more proactive. The plan also aims to improve public services across the State.

He said another review meeting would take place within 30 to 40 days. Officials will present progress on issues discussed during the current review.

Officials briefed the Minister on the status of nearly ten key development and welfare issues. These matters formed part of the State’s broader Praja Palana implementation strategy.

Key programmes under Praja Palana implementation

Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy asked officials to focus on major welfare and infrastructure programmes. He stressed effective execution of the Indiramma Housing Scheme, drinking water supply projects and educational infrastructure development.

He also instructed authorities to expand solar lighting initiatives across the districts. According to him, these works form a crucial part of Praja Palana implementation aimed at improving basic services.

The Minister urged public representatives to accelerate works related to ATC construction. He also called for faster progress in establishing power substations and tourism development projects.

In addition, he said work on new sports stadia in the district would begin soon. Officials were directed to closely monitor and follow up on the progress of these projects.

Drinking water focus in Praja Palana implementation

The Minister asked officials to speed up de-silting works in the Singur Project. The move, he said, would help ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply to the region.

As summer approaches, he instructed authorities to identify alternative water sources. This step would help meet drinking water demand during peak months.

He also directed officials to accelerate works under central schemes such as AMRUT. At the same time, he asked departments to secure adequate funding from the Union government.

Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy said the Congress government remained committed to fulfilling promises made to the people. The 99-day Action Plan, he added, would speed up the resolution of public issues.

The Minister said stronger Praja Palana implementation would energise the government machinery. It would also help deliver development and welfare programmes more effectively across the region.
