Hyderabad: A lorry carrying mangoes overturned on Saturday morning on National Highway 44 near Thimmapur in Kothur mandal, Ranga Reddy district. The driver, who was en route to Shadnagar, lost control of the vehicle. It overturned, blocking traffic on both sides.
The incident happened around dawn. The mangoes spilled across the road. The driver was injured. His condition is not yet known.
Vehicles were stranded in both directions. The lorry came to rest across the road, leaving no passage for traffic. Long queues of vehicles formed quickly.
After news of the accident spread, locals arrived in large numbers. They collected the fallen mangoes. Many brought sacks and baskets to carry them away.
Police and emergency personnel reached the spot later. Clearing operations were taken up. The cause of the accident is still under inquiry. No official statement has been made yet on the driver’s health or the total damage.
