Hyderabad: Mailardevpally police arrested two persons for manufacturing and selling adulterated food items during raids in Subhan Colony and Laxmiguda.
Acting on specific inputs, police conducted searches at multiple locations and uncovered unhygienic food preparation units. Officials found the accused using harmful chemicals and expired ingredients.
They said the accused supplied the adulterated products to local shops in Hyderabad, violating food safety norms.
Mailardevpally police seize adulterated food materials
Police identified the accused as Abdul Haque, owner of Lucky Foods Company, and Mohammed Qameruddin, owner of Zee Foods. Both were involved in producing and distributing adulterated items.
During the operation, teams seized food products and related materials used in the illegal activity.
Authorities registered two cases under Sections 125, 318(4) and 274 of the BNS at Mailardevpally Police Station. Investigation into the network is underway.
