Hyderabad: A burglar arrested by Mailardevpally police led to the recovery of stolen property worth ₹5.2 lakh in Hyderabad.
Police acted on a complaint filed by Sirangi Buchaiah, who reported a house burglary during the early hours of April 5. Unknown offenders entered his house between midnight and 1 am and stole gold ornaments, mobile phones, and cash.

On April 10, police teams apprehended the accused, identified as Shaik Shabbir, a car mechanic from Guntur district. During the investigation, officers recovered gold ornaments and mobile phones, including OPPO and iPhone devices, from his possession.
Investigators found that the accused had previous involvement in multiple theft cases registered in Nagarampalem and Lalapet police stations in Guntur district.
Police said he targeted houses with unsecured doors at night. He later sold stolen property at low prices to maintain his lifestyle.
ACP A. Sudhakar supervised the case, while SHO Sathyanarayana and his team carried out the investigation using technical evidence and field inputs. Police produced the accused before the court for judicial remand.
