Langurs injure two in separate attacks at Zaheerabad hospital

Hyderabad: Two men were injured in separate monkey attacks on the premises of the Area Hospital in Zaheerabad on Friday.

In the first incident, Mohammad Akram was bitten while escorting his daughter to the facility. In a second case, MD Abdul Khadr was attacked while arriving for treatment. Both sustained leg injuries and required stitches—four for Akram, six for Khadr.

Residents said langurs on the hospital campus have been attacking people who attempt to shoo them away. The victims urged authorities to capture and relocate the animals to a forest area.
