KTR alleges ₹1400 crore land grab by Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) alleged that Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy attempted to grab land worth ₹1,400 crore in Vattinagulapalli in Rangareddy district.

KTR visited the disputed land along with BRS MLAs and inspected the site where allegations of encroachment surfaced. According to him, the Minister and his son Harsha threatened the landowners and tried to take control of the property.

While speaking to the media along with landowners, he alleged that the Minister personally issued threats. He also claimed that officials acted under pressure to intimidate the owners. Additionally, he said the land remained in the name of Satish Shah for over 60 years.

He said the party would approach the Governor with a formal complaint. At the same time, he alleged that the Minister acted with unchecked authority and ignored law enforcement systems in the State.

Further, he claimed that more irregularities would surface soon. He also alleged that a “goonda raj” prevailed, where land was taken forcibly and dissent invited threats.

The BRS leader assured support to the affected landowners, Satish and Pallavi. Meanwhile, he alleged that the issue extended beyond a single property and involved broader dealings.

He claimed that a business link between Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy enabled such actions. In addition, he alleged that authorities transferred a police officer, Habibullah, after he registered an FIR in the case.

He further alleged that the Congress government expanded land records under the Dharani portal from 20 lakh acres to one crore acres. Moreover, he claimed officials used the prohibited list to pressure citizens and demand a 50 percent share in lands.

He called on victims facing similar issues to approach Telangana Bhavan. He added that the party would extend political and legal support to affected persons.
